In many successful organisations of today, Green Belts and Black Belts are empowered to initiate, expand, and lead projects in their area of responsibility. Most organisations use Master Black Belts or Black Belts to lead their respective projects.

Executive Leadership
This includes the CEO and other key top management team members. They are responsible for implementing the Six Sigma strategic vision.

Champions
Are responsible for identifying Six Sigma projects across the organisation. They provide a comprehensive framework that allows teams to execute goals and objectives in an effective manner.

Master Black Belts
Act as Six Sigma in-house expert coaches for the organisation. Their role is to guide Black Belts and Green Belts. Their time is spent on ensuring integrated deployment of Six Sigma across multiple departments.

Black Belts
Operate under Master Black Belts to apply Six Sigma methodologies to specific projects. They devote 100% of their time towards executing Six Sigma strategies.

Green Belts
Have a dual role. They apply Six Sigma methodologies to specific projects, along side their other job responsibilities. They operate under the guidance of Black Belts, which support them in achieving overall results.
